McDonald’s Special Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise[1]
  • 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish[2]
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

McDonald’s Special Sauce Recipe

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, and yellow mustard until well-blended.
  2. Add the white wine vinegar to the mayonnaise base and stir.
  3. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika to the sauce and stir until all of the ingredients are combined.

  • The nutrition list on the official McDonald’s website also includes the preservative, sodium benzoate, and an ingredient called calcium disodium EDTA to protect the flavor of the sauce.[3] There are also a few other additives for color. These ingredients are understandable when the sauce is being prepared in large quantities and require a longer shelf-life that a restaurant requires.
