Pomegranate Margarita Martini

The recipe above uses similar ingredients as T.G.I. Friday’s Ultimate Margarita Pomegranate, but the bartender demonstrates how to prepare the drink as a martini.

Another recipe variation for this drink is to serve it frozen. To prepare a frozen Ultimate Margarita Pomegranate, pour the drink ingredients into a blender and substitute two cups of crushed ice for the ice cubes. Blend the mixture until smooth. Cooks can also make their own margarita mix from scratch, using a recipe for sour mix or lime mix.

To add sweetness to this drink, bartenders can include confectioner's sugar in the recipe. Simply add 1/8 cup of confectioner's sugar after combining the tequila and triple sec. Then stir to dissolve the sugar and proceed with the recipe as directed.[4]

To make enough of these drinks to serve four, simply multiply the ingredients by four and prepare the mixture all at once. Then divide it into four salt-rimmed glasses and garnish the drinks with lime wedges.[5]

Another variation on the Ultimate Margarita Pomegranate includes the use of simple syrup, 1 ounce passion fruit juice, and fresh pomegranate seeds rather than pomegranate juice. Cooks can roughly mash the pomegranate seeds in the bottom of the serving glass and then combine the drink ingredients on top. Stir before serving.[6]
